Got in my MOO Mini-cards and here's a shot of them. These are going to be our business cards and they kinda give a cool little preview of our portfolio. Ordered about 100 of em, and I have about 70 different shots that Bonnie and I got to pick out. They are a bit smaller then the traditional business cards, but that's why we like them.

First Shots with the new Canon 5D Mark II

Tried out my new camera and wanted to get some test shots up. Most of these shots don't even have any editing and still turn out great. Improves the scope of the lenses I have and takes amazingly clear and high resolution photos. Shoots up to 21 Megapixels and goes up to 25,600 ISO (yes, that's over 25 thousand!). Shoots in almost complete darkness (But it is a bit noisy). Gonna do a bunch of shooting this weekend so check back in soon.

New Camera

Got the new Canon 5D Mark II, so hoping to get some shots with it up soon. Will be shooting with this as my previous camera has a new owner, the wifey! So check out her blog (use the link on the right).

My Future Hopefuls

In the spirit of a downward spiraling economy, I find it my duty to help out a little by possibly buying things here and there. Granted as long as we have the money and aren't foolish with it like...um...i don't know, citibank. Thank you $18 billion dollar bonuses. So here is my hopeful wish of the year...

Slightly Different Layout

While the style of this blog is still the same, the width of the page has changed. This will allow me to post larger pictures that are clearer and have higher quality. The downside to this is that the page will load slightly slower then before, but the wait will be worth it.

I was recently accepted as an iStock contributor and submitted some of my first pieces to iStock about a week ago. Just found out this afternoon that 2 of my pics were accepted (the other two are pending). If you are interested head to istockphoto.com/shawnster05 and view my portfolio.

My application work was accepted by iStock as of this morning and I will now be able to sell my photo's online. Photos have to go through the approval process so I don't have anything up yet, but for future reference head to istockphoto.com/shawnster05 if you are interested in purchasing some of my work or just want to flip through my album.

Ordered a Zoom lens...

Should get it next Tuesday. Next I hope to get a wide angle tamron lens...but for the time being they are sold out. I'm going do some shooting this weekend and hopefully tomorrow if I have time, so check in by sunday night for some more pics.

Waiting for my new lens to arrive, and I am hoping to take some shoots within the week. Once I edit them, I will put them up asap. For the meantime I will post some shots I took a few months back. So check in soon.

findthefound.com's Blog

findthefound.com's BLOG is up and running...

Finally got a camera of my own, and am just waiting to get my lens which should be here in about a week. I'm shooting with a Canon XT, a definite bump of from my old point an shoot that died about a year ago. So I am finally able to take some shots on my own with my own gear.

I'm going to throw up some pictures I took at a wedding I assisted at about two months ago. Had a great time, and tagged along with Jelani Memory. Met some very nice people and the couple was great. Check back in in about a week or two, that's when I will have my lens and will post a bunch of new pics. By then I hope to have a decent start to my iStockphotos account, in which I will post a link on my homepage in the upper left corner (currently it just links to their homepage).

Im going to be working on getting some new gear, adding to my lens collection, and improving my shots.
